A NEW support group for people with a physical or sensory disability has been launched in Keith.

The group meets every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at ‘The Hub’, 26 Mid Street.

The aim is to provide support and social interaction for people who may feel isolated or are struggling with their condition.

It is also open for parents or carers to attend the sessions.

The aim is to meet up for support, activities and a chat, together with a cup of tea or coffee and a cake.

Audrey Peddie, a member of the group, said people from around the Keith area, but also as far afield as Lhanbryde and Huntly have attended sessions so far.

“It is a chance for people to meet new faces and perhaps get a new outlook on life,” she said.

Open to all ages, the group hopes to invite guest speakers and arrange outings as it grows.

Anyone who wants to find out more about the group can contact Audrey on 01542 810 276.
