Nancy Jamieson (87) attended the reception hosted by Breast Cancer Now, the new charity formed with the merging of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breaktrhough Breast Cancer, to help promote the charity.

Over a period of 10 years Nancy has raised £6,462 from her annual sponsored cycle challenge, held every October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Every October Nancy gets on her bike to cover 100 miles and already this year she has covered 40 miles.

Anyone wishing to donate to Nancy’s cycle challenge can find sponsor forms at The Banffshire Herald, Keith Golf Club, Clarks Pharmacy and Nickel and Dime.

A guide to the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and the importance of being breast aware can be found on the www.breastcancernow.org
