A SOCIAL evening is being held at Longmore Community Hall on Friday evening to highlight the venue's importance to Keith and the surrounding area.

The former council-owned venue is now run by a group of volunteers.

One of the team, Rhona Patterson, said: "We want as many people there as possible to come on Friday evening and see the hall.

"We want people to come and see what we have been doing in the last year and hear our plans for the future. We also want to hear their ideas.

"We have some wonderful volunteers but we really need more of them to make it a lighter task for everyone.

The social will start at 7pm on Friday, November 22.

Tours will be available to take people downstairs as well as behind and even under the stage

Free wine and nibbles will be available.
