THE Labour Party needs to set out a "radical agenda" under new leader Jeremy Corbyn.

That’s the view of Moray Labour secretary Sean Morton.

The Fochabers-Lhanbryde Councillor, who will contest the Moray seat at next year’s Scottish Parliament elections, said: "Jeremy Corbyn has won a hard fought campaign - his huge victory was well-deserved.

"After a long summer of debate it’s time to begin the fightback. The evidence is clear - in Scotland and across the UK, the Labour Party has changed. We’re asking you to take another look at us and we’re promising to fight for your vote.

"Over these last few months our party has exploded in size, even here in Moray. We welcome those people who have just joined us, and we welcome home those we have come back.

"We now need to set out a radical agenda that takes the fight to the SNP and the Tories. With the help of our members, longstanding and new, we can win next year and we can win in 2020."
