AN annual strawberry tea will provide the public with some top class fruit-based fun when it is held next weekend.

Over the past eight years, the feast of strawberry tarts, scones and homebakes at Netherton Farm in Keith has raised more than £11,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

Organiser Trisha Davidson, along with husband Harold and friends and family, are busy baking and are set to welcome guests to the farm, two miles from Keith on the A96 towards Huntly next Saturday (June 2).

More than 200 people enjoyed the feast in the marquee on the farm last year.

Trisha said: "We serve a strawberry cream tea along with other homebakes.

"We also cater for gluten free. Over the eight years we have been holding this event we have raised over £11,000. Last year we welcomed over 200 people. We have all the usual stalls from a raffle, hamper raffle and lucky squares. There will also be a homemaking stall and also a stall for the kids.

"The kids also enjoy their own little box of sweet treats and a milkshake. It is in aid of Breast Cancer Care and is well supported by everyone."

The event will take place from 10am to 4pm.
