A TRIP to New York is full of excitement, but for two Keith women the experience reached new heights that will never be trumped.
They shared a lift with one of the world’s richest men, Donald Trump, after telling him they were visiting from the North east of Scotland.
Initially the business tycoon’s body guards tried to stop the women getting into the lift, but when Mr Trump heard their accents he invited them in and chatted to them all the way to the top floor, which is his private penthouse.
The two, Sheila Sharp from Land Street and Eunice Farren, Fife Street, were in New York during the Easter holidays with husbands Eric and Danny to celebrate Eric’s 65th birthday.
"When were arrived at his penthouse floor in the lift he said he hoped we’d enjoyed our holiday and that it was great to meet us. He asked one of his security men to see us safely back down in the lift and to take us to the gift shop and get us some fragrances, and some for our husbands, too," Sheila said.
"It was just an amazing experience. Mr Trump could not have been nicer and he was absolutely charming," Eunice said.
