North-east community group For the Love of Garioch welcomed a large gathering to their Christmas Day dinner at Inverurie Town Hall on Wednesday, December 25.

Volunteers served the festive meal with all the trimmings to over 70 people, who for one reason or another would have been lonely on Christmas Day.

For the Love of Garioch's message 'our heart is to serve the community' was fully demonstrated and there were many generous contributions from local businesses including the town's Fennel restaurant who provided pre-prepared food for the event.

Entertainment was provided by John Duncan with Christmas songs and other old favourites on offer ensuring that a fun and festive time was had by all who attended.
