Kintore based hydraulic engineering business Brimmond Group and Stonehaven based material handling specialists Groundwater Lift Trucks have combined efforts to fundraise for the local support charity, CLAN.

They are pleased to announce that between them they've raised £5000 for the charity through their combined efforts.

CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established charity supporting people affected by cancer across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney, and Shetland.

Receiving the donation, CLAN fundraising team manager, Steph McCann said: “We are extremely grateful to the Brimmond Group and Groundwater Lift Trucks for this generous donation.

"CLAN is funded entirely by donations and grants such as this, so the funds raised will go towards helping us to continue providing vital emotional and practical support to anyone affected by cancer.

“CLAN is a community-based organisation, so we are particularly thankful when donations are given by local businesses and their employees.”

"I am pleased to help provide funding to help CLAN support people affected by cancer," said Alan Glennie, technical director at Brimmond Group.

"Many of us have had family, friends and colleagues who have experienced or been impacted by cancer.

“It's important to all of us at Brimmond Group to support not only the environment but other causes that affect us."

Operations director of Groundwater Lift Trucks, Barry Groundwater said: "Everyone who is impacted by cancer must have a support network they can access.

“We hope that our donation will help CLAN to continue to deliver the superb support service.”
