On Monday, Port Elphinstone Community House hosted a Christmas lights switch on which was successful, drawing a good turn out for the event.

With plenty of Christmas joy, the Community House also celebrated their 15th birthday in a shared area garden at Pinewood House.

Children and parents from Port Elphinstone Nursery joined together to sing Christmas songs followed by a festive treat indoors afterwards.

Inverurie Rotary Club donated towards the lights display.

Community House's spokesperson said: "This was a lovely birthday celebration of PECH, thanks to the Rotary club for their very kind donation towards the lights and thanks to Graeme Shepherd for taking the time to put them up.

"It was really nice to have Port Elphinstone Nursery leading us in singing Christmas songs and then we all enjoyed a treat inside afterwards."
