POLICE in Huntly are appealing for information about drugs activity in the town.

Two men were arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences and road traffic offences after being stopped by officers in Huntly on Sunday.

The men, aged 21 and 24 were stopped in the Steven Road area at around 3.10pm and £350 in cash and nominal amounts of cannabis were recovered.

Sergeant Graeme Forbes said: “Illegal drugs are not welcome in our communities and we will continue to take action to stop the supply of illicit substances.

“Anyone with information about the illegal supply of drugs is urged to contact Police Scotland. Any information we receive, no matter how small you think it may seem, can help us build a bigger picture which allows us to take action.”

The men will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal .
