Insch: death of young woman

POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 27-year-old woman in Insch.

Officers were called to Commerce Street in the village at around 6.15am on Wednesday amid reported concern for a young woman.

The woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she died a short time later.

A police spokeswoman said that while the death was being treated as unexplained, there were no apparent suspicious circumstances.

A report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
