Huntly voters prepare for polling day

THE polls open on Thursday morning in the General Election 2015 when voters in Huntly and Gordon will make their choice.

Whatever you do on Thursday, please vote.

Christine Jardine is seeking to hold on to the seat for the Liberal Democrats, for whom Sir Malcolm Bruce represented the area for 32 years.

Former First Minister Alex Salmond is bidding to make a return to Westminster for the SNP.

Conservative candidate is farmer and local businessman Colin Clark, while 23-year-old Braden Davy (Labour) is one of the youngest candidates in the UK.

Aberdeenshire nurse Emily Santos is representing UKIP.

The polling stations across Gordon open at 7am and will remain open until 10pm.
