FORESTRY Commission Scotland’s team in Aberdeenshire is advising visitors to the Gordon Way at Bennachie to observe safety signage during tree felling operations that are due to start this week.

The felling work will last three months.
The felling work will last three months.

The felling work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 27 and is expected to last for three months, although the Gordon Way will only be affected for part of this time.

Emily Holmes for the Commission’s team in the area, said: "The felling will affect the Gordon Way for about three to four weeks from the 18th May and diversions will be in place.

"These will only be in place through the week because, in an attempt to limit disruption as much as possible, we will open all routes for weekends.

"We understand that this will result in some inconvenience and we apologise for that in advance.

"However, we would urge all visitors to observe all onsite safety signage, both for their own safety and for the peace of mind of the felling teams working in the forest."

During the operation the Suie car park will be closed but alternative parking will be available on the opposite side of the road.
