Pupils celebrate World Book Day

Schools across the country celebrated World Book Day recently.

Local youngsters got in on the action, dressing up as their favourite fictional characters and sharing their favourite books with their peers.

A diverse range of stories and characters were recognised, from timeless classics to more modern creations.
