Winter convention weekend for Buckie

BUCKIE Baptist Church is gearing up to welcome Christians from near and far this weekend when the Keswick in Buckie winter convention takes place.

Running over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the theme for the winter convention this year will be Dealing with Doubts, Death and True Discipleship.

Leading the three sessions, all of which are scheduled to get under way at 7.30pm in the church, is Pastor Jeremy McQuoig, who serves as teaching pastor at Deeside Christian Fellowship Church, which he joined in 2004.

Born in Belfast to missionary parents, Pastor McQuoig is a trained teacher of modern languages.

In 2000, he and his wife Elizabeth graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in the USA, with Master of Divinity degrees. Pastor McQuoig earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Boston in 2007, and Mrs McQuoig is a trustee and Commissioning Editor for the Keswick Convention.
