The daughter of George McIntosh has been presented with a framed copy of his medals at a fundraiser in the town.

Grace McIntosh accepted the gift at an event in memory of Joe Jappy, former chairman of the Gordon Highlanders (Buckie) committee which has been raising funds for a special parade through Buckie later this year in honour of Pt McIntosh.

He single-handedly stormed a German machine gun position on July 31, 1917 aged just 20.
