Rise in Buckie fish landings

FISH landings at Buckie Harbour were on the rise last week.

In all five boats landed their catches at Buckie, with 503 boxes of fish/prawns/squid taken ashore.

This compares to 314 boxes the previous week.

As has been the case for the last three weeks, no bags of clams were landed,

The vessels landing were: Lee Rose II; Boy Sam; Lily Oak VI; Chloe Ella; Our May.

On the cargo front, a single vessel moored at Buckie Harbour last week.

Calling on April 16, the British-registered MV Victress imported some 2006.4 tonnes of malt from Ipswich. She then sailed light to Aberdeen four days later.

No cargo vessels called at Buckie the previous week.
