Quiet week again for Buckie Harbour landings

LANDINGS of fish, prawn and squid remained low at Buckie Harbour last week.

A total of 84 boxes were landed, down slightly from 116 the week before.

No bags of clams were brought ashore, the previous week's total being just 21.

Two vessels brought their catches to the quayside last week – Sharona and Lily Oak VI.

There was a sole cargo boat visiting Buckie Harbour last week, the Dutch-registered MV Samira, importing 1486.74 tonnes of malt from Mistley on March 15. She exported 1654.42 tonnes of pebbles/cobblestones to Rye three days later.
