Public views sought on removal of Moray phone boxes

A CONSULTATION is under way into the proposed removal of a further 13 public payphones in Moray.
Moray Council has been invited to respond to BT with comments, so is asking local residents their thoughts on the removal of the phone boxes.
There is also the opportunity for community groups to adopt a red phone box for £1.
The phone boxes which are in the frame for being removed are: Reidhaven Square, Keith; Auchenhalrig by Spey Bay (red box); Farquhar Street/ Harbour Street, Hopeman; Califer Road/Pilmuir Road, Forres; by old Post Office, Cabrach (red box); by Post Office, The Square, Tomintoul (red box); Chapeltown, by Tomintoul; Auchnarrow, by Tomintoul; Tomnavoulin Post Office (red box); Glenlivet (red box); Ballcorach on B9136 north of Tomintoul (red box); Victoria Street, Craigellachie; by Bridgend Cottages, Lower Cabrach (red box).
Comments can be made via the online survey, by emailing EHAdmin@moray.gov.uk or calling (01343) 563578.
Alternatively, residents can write to EH Admin, Moray Council, High Street, Elgin, IV30 1BX. All respondents should make clear the phone box(es) they are referring to within their comments, and all comments should be received by September 18, 2020.
