SANTA paid a visit with a difference to Portgordon when he arrived at the village hall.

Saturday, December 19 from 10am to 2pm saw the Portgordon Off the Shelf (POTS) special Christmas Bookswap event come to the village.

Organised by couple Sean and Carol Mason-Corkery, the four hours of festive fun saw plenty to do within the Covid safety restrictions.

Top of the list for the younger visitors to the event was a chat with Santa about the small matter what presents they were hoping to get.

Once Santa had been seen, there were plenty other things to do and look at, including books, CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles.

There was also a chance to adopt a Portgordon seal for £2 and plus the opportunity to win some prizes thanks to the raffle.

The organisers said that the proceeds from the event will be ploughed back into village.
