The weekend of July 23-24 will once again see group members' work on show in the Spey Bay Community Hall, the first time since 2019 their annual exhibition has been possible since the pandemic.

Group chairman Kitty Bell said: "We're delighted to be back again after three years, it's been a long time.

"We were all glad to get back after two years of the pandemic.

"Everybody's very enthusiastic about the exhibition. We've a wide range of abilities and we all help each other out, it's a very friendly group.

"One thing the pandemic has encouraged us to do it experiment more with different styles and media. It stops you getting stale.

"We'll have around 120 pieces on show at the exhibition is a variety of media. All of it is work produced by members over the course of the last year or so.

"We're really looking forward to welcoming people along to the exhibition."

The works on display in the exhibition will be available for sale.

In addition to these, there will be unframed prints of work produced by group members for sale, situated in browsers.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm on both the Saturday and Sunday. Entry costs £2, which includes a refreshment.

The pandemic has hit group numbers, which currently stand at around 18, and new faces are always welcome at their weekly sessions. The group meet every Friday from 1pm to 3.30pm at Clochan Community Centre. All abilities are welcome.

Although the group currently do not have a tutor visiting their sessions, there are plans to bring one in at some point in the not too distant future.

The current membership of the group is drawn from a wide area, including Portsoy, Elgin, Portknockie and Keith.
