Poor week for landings at Buckie Harbour

THE wild weather last week was not kind to local fishermen as fish landings at Buckie Harbour fell again.

Just two vessels landed their catches at Buckie, bringing ashore 122 boxes of fish, prawns and squid and no bags of clams.

This compares to a total of 183 boxes and no bags the week before.

Landing at Buckie were Our May and Chloe Ella.

A sole cargo vessel moored at Buckie Harbour last week, the Dutch-registered MV Anita. She imported 1526.7 tonnes of malt from Waterford on May 2 before sailing light to Teesport the following day.
