BUCKIE police are appealing for information following a break-in at St Peter's Primary School.
It is believed the incident occurred over the course of last weekend.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of a break-in at a school on St Peter’s Terrace in Buckie around 7.50am on Monday, 8 November, 2021.
"Enquiries into the incident are at an early stage and anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident 0511 of November 8.”
It was back to home learning for pupils at the school on Monday as the school was closed to allow the police to undertake their investigations.
A Moray Council spokesperson said that the local authority was working with the police and that the children had been provided with work to do at home while the school was closed.
The school reopened as normal today (Tuesday).
