AN old photo of a works presentation in the Advertiser has jogged a reader's memory.

Nan Morrow is presented with flowers at Buckie Clydesdale Bank on the occasion of her husband, who is looking on, taking up the manager's post at the Lossiemouth branch on 1969.
Nan Morrow is presented with flowers at Buckie Clydesdale Bank on the occasion of her husband, who is looking on, taking up the manager's post at the Lossiemouth branch on 1969.

Last week's Window on the Past featured a photo of a young woman being presented with flowers in what appeared to be an office-type setting.

While the date of the photo was tentatively put at the late 1960s to early 1970s, that was about all that was known about it.

However, it turns out that the picture was actually taken at the same occasion which featured in a Window on the Past earlier this year, in which reader James Young recognised his father-in-law Tom Morrow.

Mr Young said: "The lady receiving the presentation from the staff is Mrs Nan Morrow, Tom Morrow’s wife, and mum to Anne Young and Aileen Dick.

"The occasion was Tom leaving his post as accountant at Buckie Clydesdale Bank to be manager at Lossiemouth in 1969.

"Tom returned to Buckie as manager where he remained as manager until retirement in 1981."
