AN old photo in the Advertiser has jogged some memories for two readers.

James and Linnie Flett's golden wedding in 1972.

One of the photos published in our Window on the Past feature on October 12 depicted what appeared to be a large family gathering from the early 1970s.

For reader Neil Smith, the photo spared recognition of some family members half a century ago.

He said: "The two pupils at the front are my cousins, Innes Flett and Fiona Flett.

"Their father (and my uncle) Davey Flett is standing in the middle of the back row alongside the elder sister of Innes and Fiona, Patricia Flett.

"I have picked out my aunt, Lydia Flett, who is sitting third from the right just behind Innes."

The photo was taken at the golden wedding of James and Linnie Flett.

Following Mr Smith's contribution, Audrey Douglas – the daughter of the James and Linnie Flett – also got in touch to confirm that the photo was taken in September 1972.

The Scot would like to thank Neil and Audrey for taking the time and trouble to get in contact to put a few names to faces.
