A steering group, entitled Cullen Connected, has been working in conjunction with GEN (Global Ecovillage Network) and tsiMoray, the main voluntary sector organisation in the region to see how Cullen can be made to stand out and become a destination for people to come and spend time in.

To cast their net as wide as possible, the group are set to hold a special meeting in the community and residential centre to promote the benefits of the project.

Cullen Connected member Colin Burch said: "There is the opportunity for Cullen to really make a mark within Moray, and further afield.

"The working group so far have included most of the diverse voluntary groups from Cullen, and are looking to open this up to include all people, groups and businesses in Cullen.

"The idea is that the Cullen Connected programme is a ‘whole-of-Cullen’ approach to make our town a worthwhile, vibrant and stay-over destination for tourists, visitors and potential businesses."

The meeting is due to get under way at 6pm on Monday, February 17.
