THE last day at school is a memorable one for senior school students and those at Buckie Community High School are no exception.

BCHS leavers gather for one final time together prior to the lockdown.
BCHS leavers gather for one final time together prior to the lockdown.

This year, though, as has been the case up and down the country, there have been no special leaving events or photos to mark this milestone due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

However, as what has been an unprecedented school year came to an end, they were wished all the best by BCHS rector Neil Johnson.

He said: "I'm so glad we managed to get our school leavers together for a photo and to say goodbye on the day before we went into lockdown.

"Good luck to a lovely bunch of young people.

"Keep doing your best to be a good person in the future and stay in touch."

As things stand, Buckie High is set to reopen in August.
