FISH landings were up by over a third at Buckie Harbour this week.

In all some 442 boxes of fish, prawns and squid were brought ashore, along with 271 bags of clams. However, the number of clams taken to the quayside is slightly down on the previous week, when 314 bags were recorded.

Twenty-one vessels landed last week: Jann Denise; Chloe Ella; Summerton; Emmaley; Camm Alert; Lily Oak VI; Intrepid; Alta; Brantia; Jann Denise; Girl Julie; Illustrious; Amethyst; Flourish; Boy Sam; Sharona; Brantia; Alisa; Friendly Isle; Our May; Deeside.

A sole cargo vessel visited Buckie Harbour over the course of last week, the Antiguan-registered MV Nordica Hav arrived light from Rosyth on September 27 and exported 1834.92 tonnes of malting barley to King's Lynn two days later.
