A FEAST of job opportunities in the hospitality trade and beyond are set to be on offer next week over the course of two events.
Next Friday will see an employment event with a bit of a difference when the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) host a virtual jobs fair between 11am and 11.30am. Part of the DWP's focus on the hospitality, tourism and leisure trades, the event has proved a huge hit with employers.
DWP employer and partnership manager Jane Munro said: "Originally I had been hoping we'd attract enough employers to offer a job per minute during the fair but we've had such an excellent response that's now up to two a minute.
"The jobs are concentrated on the hospitality sector which has been a focus of courses which we've been running over the past few weeks."
The virtual jobs fair will bring together hospitality sector employers and jobseekers via Twitter on @jcpinNorthscot. DWP customers do not need to have a Twitter account or access to a PC, tablet or smartphone to log on. Those logging on at a job centre will have access to assistance from staff.
DWP customers who would like to participate from the Jobcentre are asked to contact their DWP work coach.
Next week will also see the Tivoli Group Ltd conducting interviews in Moray. Up for grabs are a number of positions in landscape gardening.
Anyone interested in these positions should contact their work coach as soon as possible.
