THE Jags claimed a Premiership scalp when Ross County came to visit yesterday (Tuesday).

A largely young Dingwall side left Victoria Park on the wrong end of a 5-2 defeat, with a Drew Copeland brace and goals from Kevin Fraser, Chris Angus and new boy John McLeod doing the damage for the home side.

It was a result which, unsurprisingly, left Thistle manager Graeme Stewart upbeat, although the loss of the two goals was a sore point.

For the full match report, see Tuesday's Banffshire Advertiser.
