Five detained following Buckie incident

POLICE have confirmed that five people have been detained following an incident in Buckie.

Officers were called to a disturbance at Wallace Avenue around 5.30am.

"The incident was resolved around 3pm," added a spokesman.

"Five people have been detained in connection with the incident. There was no threat to the wider public."

Officers wearing riot gear and using shields entered the property after a long stand-off.
