Fish landings on the up at Buckie Harbour

THERE was a slight increase in fish landings at Buckie Harbour last week.

In all, 13 vessels landed 652 boxes of fish/prawns/squid along with 246 bags of clams.

This compares with 571 boxes and 299 bags of clams landed.

The boast bringing their catches ashore were: Camm Bounteous; Girl Alison;

Lily Oak VI; Boy Sam; Camm Gracious; Our May; Flourish; Conquest; Moray Endeavour; Deeside; Transcend; Chloe Ella; Emerald Dawn.

A single cargo vessel called at Buckie last week, the MV Icelandica Hav (Bahamas). She imported 1618.98 tonnes of malt from Mistley on September 19 and exported 2196.48 tonnes of pebbles/cobblestones to Groveport (six days later.
