RESIDENTS at two Buckie care homes were treated to a special lockdown concert broadcast live on the internet.

Local band Apples Acoustics performed an hour long set for residents and staff at Parklands and Burnbank Care homes.

The band are regular visitors to the care homes in the area and across Moray.

Residents watched the gig from indoors and enjoyed fish and chips as the duo performed outside under a gazebo supplied by Portessie Village Hall.

Relatives and friends were able to join in and watch the concert live on Facebook.

Activities co-ordinator Lisa Toogood said: “Apples Acoustics spread smiles, lifted spirits and banished the blues with a truly joyous concert.

"Thank you so much to Abbie and Andy for a great afternoon of music. They both bring so much joy and energy to the homes. This afternoon is just what the residents and staff needed.”

Writing on Facebook, Apples Acoustics said: “Thank you all so much for making it possible.

"Your staff are just phenomenal people and they deliver outstanding care to your residents.

"We were over the moon to be able to perform for you all again and can't wait until the sun is back out and we can come back for another festival in the garden.”
