Saturday, March 7 at 7.30pm will see the village's Public Institute play host to the Scotland’s Fiddle Legends, part of the Arc Sessions series of shows.

Arc Sessions organiser Mhairi Marwick said: "This is a brand new concert inspired by the idea that there are so many incredible fiddle players in Scotland and how great it would be to bring some of them together for a very special and unique one off concert.

"Scotland Fiddle Legends features Paul Anderson, Gordon Gunn, Patsy Reid and Gregor Borland accompanied by Raemond Jappy.

"This concert brings together absolutely incredible fiddle players from different parts of Scotland displaying their unique fiddle styles. These musicians really are legends of the fiddle and you will see and hear why.

"It will provide the opportunity to hear each individual player's style and hear the background and stories of how they came to where they are today. As well as solos, the fiddlers with play together accompanied by the fantastic Raemond Jappy.

"I had this idea to bring musicians together for a concert like this for a long time so I’m really excited to see how it goes and how to develop this in the coming years."

Tickets can be bought online from www.arcsessions.com or Christie’s Chemist in Fochabers.
