The Lady Cathcart Centre is to be the venue for the event, which is being run by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

Jane Munro, DWP employer and partnership manager based in Forres, said: "As so many of the providers of services and so on are based in Elgin, we felt it would be good to try and help get them out to places like Buckie and Forres, to help make it easier for people to access them.

"To that end we've set up a Buckie Hub drop-in session bringing together the various partner agencies and providers we work with and inviting people to drop in for a chat.

"The session could cover a whole range of areas such as housing, mental health, volunteering and so on. The recent first drop-in we held in Forres featured a very diverse range of organisations, ranging from the NHS through to Moray Wellbeing Hub and the Citizens' Advice Bureau.

"It'll be a great chance for people to access a wide selection of organisations all in the one occasion."

The session is set to run from 10am until midday on Friday, April 24.

Ms Munro added: "If these drop-ins prove to be successful then we'll be looking at making them a regular feature throughout the year."

A full list of participating organisations will be published nearer the time of the event.
