Drop in fish landings at Buckie Harbour

FISH landings fell by over half last week at Buckie Harbour.

In all, 11 vessels landed their catches at the harbour, comprising 160 boxes of fish/prawns/squid and 213 bags of clams.

The compares to 378 boxes plus 34 bags of clams the previous week.

Bringing their catches to the quayside were: Illustrious; Our May; Girl Alison; Lily Oak VI; Flourish; Camm Alert; Ailsa; Boy Sam; Kestrel; Chloe Ella; Transcend.

A sole cargo vessel, the Bahamas-registered MV Icelandica Hav docked at Buckie Harbour last week, importing 1624.5 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on October 8 at 12:50pm. She exported 2130.46 tonnes of cobblestones/pebbles to Rye on seven days at 8pm.
