Busy week of landings at Buckie Harbour

THERE was a busy week in store for Buckie Harbour on the fish landings front.

In all 30 vessels landed their catches at the quayside, with 1589 boxes of fish/prawns/squid brought ashore.

Alongside this 93 bags of clams were landed.

The fishing boats bringing their catches in over the course of the week were: Radiance; Transcend; Lily; Skua; Emmaley; Cloudy; Lily Oak VI; Blue Sky; Selina Joy; Alisa; Boy Sam; Endeavour; Amaryha; Camann II; Brantia; Conquest; Fruitful Bough; Jackdaw; Intrepid; Blue-Eye; Beverly Ann; Our May; Just Reward; Chloe Ella; Stella Maris; Illustrious; Prosperity; Emerald Dawn; Asteria; Radiance.

Meanwhile, on the cargo front, a single vessel called at Buckie Harbour last week.

The Barbardos-registered MV Sea Kestrel called on Monday, September 7 when she arrived light from Dundee.

She was to leave three days later on Thursday, September 10 when she exported a total of 1887.64 tonnes of malting barley bound for King's Lynn.
