Busier week of landings at Buckie Harbour

THERE was a busier week at hand at Buckie Harbour on both the fish landings and cargo fronts.

A total of eight boats brought 339 boxes of fish/prawns/squid and 111 bags of clams ashore last week. This compares 120 boxes and 47 bags the week before.

Taking their catches ashore were: Star of Annan; Lily Oak VI; Chloe Ella; Our May; Brantia; Skua; Endeavour; Flourish.

Two cargo vessels called at Buckie over the course of last week. Arriving on June 26 was the British-registered MV Victress, importing 2375.06 tonnes of salt from Kilroot before sailing light to Berwick the following day.

Also docking on June 26 was the MV Frisian River (Dutch), arriving light from Seaham. She exported 2201.26 tonnes of pebbles/cobblestones to Rye on July 1.
