Busier week of landings at Buckie Harbour

THERE was a lot more going on at Buckie Harbour on the fish landings front than was the case the week before.

A total of 393 boxes of fish/prawns/squid were brought ashore last week, a considerable improvement on the previous total of nil.

No bags of clams were recorded during both weeks.

Six vessels in all brought their catches to the quayside: Radiance; Our May; Chloe Ella; Lily Oak V; Ceol Na Mara; Lee Rose II

A single cargo vessel visited Buckie Harbour, the MV Figura (St Vincent). She imported 1507.760 tonnes of malt from Mistley on April 3 and sailed light to the North Sea for orders on April 8.

The week before saw two cargo boats call.
