THERE was another bumper enrolment session in store for 1st Company Buckie Boys' Brigade.

The cancellation of the enrolment parade did nothing to dampen the spirits of the lads in the Company, Junior and Anchor Boy Sections as they took their places for another year.

Company Captain Alan McIntosh said: "We have over 200 boys enrolment with us now which makes us one of the biggest companies in the UK.

"There's been a large increase in the Anchor Boys numbers which are up to 64, up around 20, and there're new boys in the other sections. We've had to put a waiting list on places in the Anchor Boys, such has been the demand.

"I think our Facebook page, which is run by Alan Cowie, has been a huge help here, he has a very forward thinking approach to it."

Capt McIntosh also noted that the Company had enjoyed sporting success in the fields of cross country running and badminton of late, while the senior and junior football teams were ready once more to begin their assault on their respective five-a-side National Cups.
