Buckie traffic lights plan

LOCAL residents are being invited to have their say on plans to put traffic lights in the centre of Buckie.

Moray Council traffic engineer Elaine Penny will be in Buckie Library to listen to views, suggestions and comments from the public on the project.

Wednesday April 15 Ms Penny will be available from 3pm to 7pm and then on Thursday from 11am to 2pm.

Cluny Square would see the biggest changes under the scheme, with traffic lights being placed on all four roads leading to the roundabout.

A similar arrangement is envisaged for the junctions of East and West Cathcart Streets.

Pedestrian lights are earmarked for the High Street junctions of Cluny Lane and Newlands Lane, as well as Well Road and /Highfield Road.
