Buckie police patrols in anti-social behaviour crackdown

ANTI-social behaviour by youths in Buckie has been the focus of special police patrols in the town.

Schools in the area have been targeted by officers as part of an ongoing crackdown programme to deal with intelligence received from members of the public.

A statement by Police Scotland on Twitter said: "Plain clothes officers in Buckie have continued to carry out patrols at various schools following complaints of anti-social behaviour

"A number of youths have been dealt with for antisocial behaviour and possession of controlled drugs

"Patrols will continue over the coming weeks."

Anti-social behaviour can be reported to the police using their non-emergency phone number 101.

Less serious incidents of anti-social behaviour can be reported via the Moray Council website at www.moray.gov.uk or by phoning (01343) 563134/563074 during office hours.

If a crime is in progress or there is the use or threat of use of violence, dial 999.
