Moray Food Plus have secured funding from MFR's Cash for Kids scheme to create a parent and siblings Autism Support Group in the town.

These sessions will aim at offering those attending the opportunity to meet other parents and young people who are going through similar challenges to the ones they face in their everyday lives.

During the course of the sessions it is hoped to deliver a variety of activities, including presentations about the various aspects of autism and examining strategies which can be deployed to help make life that little bit easier.

Snacks and drinks will be provided and there will be fun activities for the children to take part in while the adults enjoy a cuppa.

The first session is due to take place on Friday, November 13 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm in the Action for Children section of the Lady Cathcart Section.

Those intending on going along are asked to bear in mind that these times are subject to change.

The sessions will run for five weeks initially and continue after Christmas.

The club will be run in accordance with all Scottish Government Covid-19 guidance to ensure the safety of all participants. Due to the restrictions the number of participants will be limited.

In the first instance those interested in attending should contact Sarah Cruden via email at sarah@morayfoodplus.org.uk
