The 300ft and 2978 tonne MC Peak Bremen sailed for Rotterdam last Friday with a 80 tonne TEG skid unit, fabricated by Forsyths. It was ultimately bound for South Korea.

The Buckie Harbour Advisory Committee, chaired by Cllr Gordon McDonald, has lobbied for the maximum weight limit on boats to be increased at Buckie.

Cllr McDonald said: "This raises the bar for Buckie Harbour, there is no doubt about that."
