The TSB, situated on the town's Cluny Square, will host a mortgage open day for first-time buyers and home movers and any other mortgage needs, on Tuesday, March with the aim of helping the local community better understand the homebuying process.

TSB open days have been designed to inform homebuyers of what to expect when buying a new home, provide advice on how they can better prepare and experts will be on hand to answer any questions. People will have an opportunity to talk to local TSB branch staff and mortgage advisors for individual support and advice.

David Ettles, manager at TSB Buckie, said: “Buying a home is such an important step in many people’s lives, whatever rung of the property ladder they are on.

"Our mortgage open day has been planned to help demystify the process and to ensure there are no surprises along the way.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to speak to our team of experts for individual advice, so they know exactly what to expect when they start hunting for their new home.

“We have already spoken to several customers who have said an informative mortgage day would be incredibly useful and we look forward to welcoming people into our branch.”

The open day is set to run from 9am to 5pm.

The event is open to everyone, it is not restricted to just TSB customers. People interested in finding out more or attending can do so by popping in to the branch or calling 01542 349998, however the day itself will be on a no-appointment-necessary basis.
