Sunday, August 28 from 10am to 4pm will see a record 500 vehicles from down the ages converge on Linzee Gordon Park in what is promising to be a bumper day's entertainment for all the family.

One of those looking forward to the show is organiser John Clark.

He said: "This year will be the biggest show yet with over 500 entries 11 club stands and 44 trade stands.

"Our popular show and shine has over 360 entries all hoping to win one of 50 gold rosettes

"We opened for entries in April of this year and within four weeks the show was full. We have special events on for MGB, which is celebrating its 60th birthday, and the Escort Cosworth that's celebrating its 30th birthday, as well BMC-built cars. Also celebrating its 100th birthday is the Austin 7.

"We're aiming to put on a show that suits all ages and tastes. We've entrants coming from far and wide with vehicles from 1912 to 2022."

There is set to be one very special vehicle at the show, as Mr Clark revealed.

"Last year we had an old wreck of a car on show; it was in a very poor state and it was my project car. It had a sign saying come back in 2022 and see this car fully restored and driving.

"A lot of folk laughed and actually bet me this would not happen due to the state of the car just last week a friend nipped in to see its progress and bet me that there was no way it'll be ready for August 28.

"The project car will be unveiled (if finished) at this year's show by the CEO of Moray Council Roddy Burns and his wife regardless of whether its finished or not. All bets will be collected and are being donated to Rrrallye, who put young drivers through advanced driving courses at the Grampian Transport Museum."

Entry to the show is free.
