THE voyage of discovery continued for some of Buckie's junior Boys' Brigade members when they visited the town's Coastguard station.

A contingent of P2 lads made their way to the station on Baron Street to learn more about how the volunteer team help save lives in a variety of different emergency situations.

The youngsters had the chance to try on some of the gear Coastguards wear and also check out a rescue stretcher for size.

Coastguards are trained to use a wide range of often complex gear in their bid to save lives, and the youngsters were shown how some of this works.

There was also the chance to have a seat in one of the response vehicles station in Buckie.
