91 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Moray during last week

A total of 91 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Moray within the last seven days, taking the area's total since the outbreak began to 2367.

This is a drop from the 144 cases confirmed in last Wednesday's update. Meanwhile, 480 negative Covid-19 tests have been confirmed since July 21, an increase from 462 the week before.

With no new deaths recorded, the number of people to have died due to Covid-19 in Moray remains 40.

Of those 40, 30 have tested positive for Covid-19 and passed away within 28 days, while 10 had the virus mentioned on their death certificate.

NHS Grampian – which includes Moray, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City – has now confirmed 22,460 cases of coronavirus since the outbreak began.

That's an increase of 317 since last week's update.

Neighbourhood areas

Twenty different 'neighbourhood areas' in Moray confirmed at least three cases of coronavirus between July 19 and July 25.

The worst hit towns are Elgin with 33 cases, Buckie with 18, Lossiemouth with 17 and Forres with 12.
