A STUNNING new solid silver trophy to celebrate the story of a woman

catching the largest UK salmon on a fly, on the River Deveron, is to be presented to a female angler as its first winner.

Male salmon anglers dramatically outnumber their female counterparts, but it seems that when it comes to hooking the monster fish, it is the women who provide that irresistible lure.

Mrs Clementina ‘Tiny’ Morison still holds the record with the 61-pound salmon she caught at Mountblairy on October 21, 1924 on a ‘Brown Wing Killer’ fly.
