A FLOOD warning for Turriff has been downgraded by Aberdeenshire Council.

However, rain is expected to continue to fall over the next few days, and the local authority will continue to work with its partner agencies to monitor the situation and take necessary action if required.

Philip McKay, head of roads and landscape services, said: “Our officers on the ground will continue to monitor the situation very closely, but we would also ask that residents remain vigilant and let us know immediately if they have any concerns about the water levels over the next few days as well.”
